It all started when…
Charlie spent the first twenty-three years of his working life in the sports and entertainment industry, project managing major blue chip events such as the Rugby World Cup (95), Atlanta Olympics (96) and the Ryder Cup matches, where he was awarded the Event Organiser of the Year Award (93).
After a big re-think as he approached his 40’s, (which he’s convinced himself wasn’t a mid life crisis) he embarked on his Mountain Leader training at Plas Y Brenin (National Mountain Training Centre) and acquired a shareholding within an established adventure outfitters, further learning his trade and anchoring the adventure riding and charity challenge activity that it managed.
A keen motorcyclist, photographer and conservationist with a hankering to access the more remote locations across the globe, Charlie started DRIFT Adventure & DRIFT Moto to provide an antidote to the banality of the day to day.
